Every indicator is computed from historical Upstox candles using standard textbook formulas. The same math is used across the Technical Chart, indicator legends and screener conditions.

Can I save my custom screener and share it?

Yes. After signing in with Google you can save any custom rule. Public screens get a shareable /technical-screener/shared/{slug} URL.

How often is the screener data refreshed?

Daily snapshots refresh after the 15:30 IST close. Intraday snapshots refresh continuously during market hours via the live-tick aggregator.

RSI Oversold Stocks — Stocks with RSI(14) below 30 on the daily timeframe — a classic oversold signal often used to spot potential mean-reversion bounces.
RSI Overbought Stocks — Stocks with RSI(14) above 70 on the daily timeframe — classic overbought signal, often used to filter potential reversal candidates.
RSI Crossed Above 30 — Stocks where RSI(14) crossed back above 30 today — used to catch the moment an oversold stock begins to recover.
RSI Crossed Below 70 — Stocks where RSI(14) dropped below 70 today — a signal often used to identify momentum cooling off after an overbought run.
MACD Bullish Crossover — MACD line crossed above its signal line today — a widely-followed bullish momentum signal.
MACD Bearish Crossover — MACD line crossed below its signal line today — a widely-followed bearish momentum signal.
Strong Trend Stocks (ADX > 25) — Stocks with ADX(14) above 25 — indicates a trend of meaningful strength, either bullish or bearish.

Close Above 20 EMA — Stocks trading above their 20-period EMA — short-term trend bullish.
Close Above 50 EMA — Stocks trading above their 50-period EMA — mid-term trend bullish.
Close Above 200 EMA — Stocks trading above their 200-period EMA — long-term trend bullish.
9 EMA Crossing Above 20 EMA — Fast 9-period EMA crossed above the 20-period EMA today — a short-term bullish momentum signal.
20 EMA Crossing Above 50 EMA — 20-period EMA crossed above the 50-period EMA today — a mid-term trend-change signal.
Bullish EMA Alignment — Close > EMA(20) > EMA(50) > EMA(200) — full bullish moving-average alignment, a widely used filter for trend-following setups.

Breakout

Previous-Day High Breakout — Close breaks above the previous day's high — an intraday breakout signal that traders often use for continuation setups.
20-Day High Breakout — Close greater than or equal to the 20-day rolling high — signals a fresh short-term breakout to a new local high.
52-Week High Breakout — Stocks whose close is at or above their 52-week high — often used as a strength filter for long-side positional trades.
Bollinger Upper-Band Breakout — Close crosses above the upper Bollinger band (20, 2) — a volatility expansion signal.

Volume

Volume Above 1.5× 20-day Average — Today's volume is at least 1.5× the 20-day average — a common confirmation filter combined with price breakouts.
Volume Above 2× 20-day Average — Today's volume is at least 2× the 20-day average — a stronger volume-expansion signal used to spot unusual activity.
Price Up With High Volume — Price up more than 2% with volume above 1.5× the 20-day average — a bullish confirmation setup combining price and volume.
Price Down With High Volume — Price down more than 2% with volume above 1.5× the 20-day average — distribution signal often used to identify weakness.

Trend

Supertrend Buy Signal — Supertrend direction flipped bullish today — the classic trend-following long entry signal on the daily timeframe.
Supertrend Sell Signal — Supertrend direction flipped bearish today — the classic trend-following short/exit signal on the daily timeframe.
Price Above Supertrend — Close is above the current Supertrend line (bullish regime).
Strong Uptrend — ADX > 25 with +DI > -DI and close above EMA(50) — combines trend strength with directional confirmation.
Strong Downtrend — ADX > 25 with -DI > +DI and close below EMA(50) — trend-strength confirmation on the short side.

Universes: Nifty 50 / 100 / 200 / 500 lists are synced daily from the NSE Archives; F&O membership is derived from the Upstox instruments master.
Indicators: computed from historical candles using standard textbook formulas — same math used on the chart.
Timeframes: 1-day (completed candle after 15:30 IST) plus 5m / 15m / 30m intraday bars during market hours.
