About the NSE holiday calendar

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) publishes its trading holiday calendar for the equity capital-market segment through official exchange circulars. On these dates — along with every Saturday and Sunday — the cash market and equity derivatives segments remain closed, so no regular buying or selling takes place on NSE or BSE. Settlement (clearing) holidays can differ slightly and are published separately by the exchange.

On normal trading days, the pre-open session runs 9:00 AM – 9:15 AM IST and the regular session runs 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM IST. Ahead of a holiday, expiry-week derivatives schedules shift to the previous trading day where applicable, which can affect rollover and expiry-day volumes.
